CryoVation has unveiled the Fill-Free 1.0, an affordable and expandable semi-automated system for companies that want to incorporate “operator-freedom” filling technology into their new or existing equipment. The Fill-Free 1.0 industrial control system automatically monitors pressure and temperature and calculates final fill pressure, while also alerting the operator to vent, vacuum and fill completion. CryoVation is a custom manufacturer and installer of innovative cryogenic liquid and industrial gas cylinder filling and distribution systems. We are committed to improving the safety and efficiency of systems that transfer and package these resources. Partnering with our customers and associated product and service providers delivers mutually beneficial results for our companies, employees and their families.
COMPANY PROFILE
CryoVation was founded in 2000 by Ric Boyd. With 41 years in the industrial gas and cryogenic industries, Ric has been an integral part of the design, development, manufacture, sale and installation of a wide range of products and services - including the first automated cylinder re-testing and filling systems, pre-fabricated palletized fill plants, high-flow medical oxygen liquid to gas transfill systems, and automated fill plants. Ric started his career in California in 1971, working for Galiso, Inc. (hydrostatic cylinder test systems), while completing a degree in mechanical engineering. His subsequent experience included Cryo-Chem, Inc. (pump and vaporizer systems) and Woodland Cryogenics/Victor Gas Systems (fill plants, pumps and vaporizers).
Soon after opening the doors, Ric’s oldest son, Ryan, joined CryoVation as Director of Sales (currently Vice President), and Mike Nixon, Sr. came on board to oversee production and field installations. In 2001, CryoVation purchased the assets of the former Woodland Cryogenics/Victor Gas Systems from Thermadyne. In 2003, the company expanded and established new corporate headquarters in Fort Myers, Florida, and in 2009 it opened the CryoVation Service Center in Indianapolis. CryoVation has grown steadily and the team now includes Ric’s younger son, Nate, and daughter, Rachel, along with David London, an industrial gas industry veteran who joined the sales division in 2009.
